Austin, TX — Mergen IT Services today announced the launch of its AI / Now Assist Research Practice, headquartered at the firm’s Austin delivery centre. The practice will publish benchmarks, prompt patterns, and grounding strategies for Now Assist deployments — with an initial focus on regulated industries (BFSI, Healthcare, Public Sector).
“Most Now Assist deployments fail at scale because the foundational work — knowledge-base preparation, identity grounding, audit-trail design — was treated as an afterthought,” said the firm’s Chief Technology Officer. “Our research practice is dedicated to making that foundational work both faster to do well and more transparent to the customers who depend on it.”

The practice is led by Mergen’s Director of AI Engineering and includes 14 platform engineers and prompt-engineering specialists. The team will collaborate closely with ServiceNow’s Now Intelligence product team and with academic partners on long-form research.
