The challenge

A health system needed cloud-provider-independent disaster recovery for clinical workloads (no single-vendor risk). Existing DR approach relied on a colocation site with 24h RTO — unacceptable for clinical operations.

What we built

Azure as primary cloud + AWS as DR. Cross-cloud replication for critical clinical data. Quarterly failover drills. Workload-specific RTO/RPO targets enforced as code.
