Austin, TX — Mergen IT Services today released its FinOps toolkit as open source under MIT license. The toolkit includes Terraform modules for tagging discipline + cost-attribution infrastructure, Power BI / Looker dashboard templates, and operating-model documentation.
“FinOps practice maturity isn’t something we should be holding back as a competitive advantage,” said Mergen’s CTO. “Better-run cloud estates are good for everyone — vendors, customers, and the engineering community at large. Open-sourcing the toolkit is a small contribution toward that.”
What’s in the toolkit
Terraform modules for AWS + Azure + GCP cost-attribution infrastructure
Power BI + Looker dashboard templates with reference KPIs
Operating-model documentation: roles, cadences, decision rights
Maturity-assessment workbook
The toolkit is available at github.com/mergen/finops-toolkit (MIT license).
